What We Do

Advancing dignity, safety & equal rights for all.

Across advocacy, research, legal and mental health support, and safety, we work to dismantle barriers and protect marginalized communities throughout Ghana.

01 Advocacy
Focus Area

Advocacy

We promote dignity, safety, and equal rights for all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. In Ghana's challenging environment, we strengthen legal awareness, document human rights violations, and work with trusted partners to promote accountability while protecting confidentiality and safety.

Our advocacy spans Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) prevention and survivor support, minority rights, and gender equality, challenging stigma through education, research, storytelling, and community engagement, and engaging policymakers for inclusive laws.

02 Research and empowerment
Focus Area

Research & Empowerment

We treat research and empowerment as essential tools for stronger communities and lasting progress. Through skills training in leadership, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and financial management, we build self-reliance and economic opportunity, while community building creates safe spaces and peer networks that foster resilience and belonging.

We invest in data consolidation to support evidence-based advocacy and program planning, and in archiving to preserve community histories, lived experiences, and advocacy milestones, ensuring knowledge is protected and voices are amplified.

03 Legal and mental health support
Focus Area

Legal & Mental Health Support

Access to justice and emotional wellbeing are fundamental to safety, dignity, and resilience. Our legal support connects individuals with guidance, referrals, and representation for cases of discrimination, violence, unlawful eviction, blackmail, and other rights violations, empowering people to understand their rights and seek protection with confidence.

Alongside this, we provide affirming, trauma-informed mental health and psychosocial support, plus group and peer counselling, creating supportive spaces for shared healing, trust-building, and collective resilience.

04 Safety and security
Focus Area

Safety & Security

Safety and security are a critical foundation for the wellbeing and resilience of marginalized communities. Our digital security work equips people to protect their online privacy, secure personal information, prevent cyber harassment, and navigate digital spaces safely, with training on secure communication, password protection, and data safety.

We also promote self-defence through practical safety awareness and confidence-building, and strengthen legal safety by raising awareness of rights and connecting people to trusted legal resources, reducing vulnerability and building peace of mind.
