This is not a theoretical program. We have already delivered two successful digital safety trainings across regions of Ghana. The feedback was clear: this knowledge saves lives, and more people urgently need access to it.
Fund a TrainingParticipants left with secured accounts, encrypted communication tools, and the awareness to spot threats before they escalate. But 60 people in a community of thousands is not enough, the demand is overwhelming and the threats are accelerating.
Coordinated doxxing campaigns target activists. Dating apps are exploited to lure people into traps. Blackmail through intimate images has become a widespread form of extortion. And most victims don't know they can prevent it, until it's too late.
A single data breach doesn't just expose someone online. It triggers a chain reaction: outing to family, loss of employment, eviction, physical violence. In some cases, it has led to people fleeing their city, or worse.
Before the training, I didn't even know my location was being shared every time I posted. Now I move through the internet with confidence. That peace of mind is priceless.
